Islamorada Wedding at Pierre’s Restaurant

This New York couple originally planned to have their wedding in New York City at the Central Park Boat House but due to some circumstances decided to completely change their wedding plans around and start planning a wedding in the Florida Keys . This wedding was planned with only a couple months of anticipation and turned out beautifully. The wedding ceremony took place at San Pedro Catholic Church and the reception was at Pierre’s Restaurant in the Keys– a gorgeous beach front property overlooking the ocean. We at JCG Events, had so much fun planning and coordinating this wedding! Here is a look back on the day.

The bride got ready at one of the cottages at the Mooring’s. She looked absolutely radiant and had her make-up done by the Make-Up Mob. Her bridal bouquet was a soft and pretty white bouquet with a small mix of flowers. The invitation suite was by a local New York letterpress print shop and was designed with coral motif and a seahorse in a coral color. We accented the coral color with small touches of navy blue. We later carried the coral and seahorse motif to the wedding cake. It was a small wedding cake for the couple to be able to cut into it, accompanied with a tower of scrumptious cupcakes by Ana Paz Cakes. They had an assortment of flavors such as key lime, red velvet, coconut, chocolate, vanilla rum. To differentiate the different flavors they put the first letter of the flavor on each cupcake with white icing piping.

Following the ceremony guests were greeted with welcome drinks, bubbly a garnished edible hibiscus flower on the back porch of Pierre’s. A guitar duo by EMS Entertainment provided soft gypsy king music and Latin Jazz to really create an elegant but upbeat vibe to the cocktail hour.

Parrish Designs created stunning all-white floral arrangements with long stemmed white tulips and white hydrangeas. The room was candlelit and was a romantic intimate setting for their guests. We created beautiful custom escort cards with starfishes and blue tags with white Calligraphy by Jennifer and custom table names each with a different name for an island in the Keys and standing in a gold urchin stand.

To honor the brides Polish background they had a ceremonial greeting with bread, wine, and salt which represents the prosperity and bitterness the newlyweds will come across throughout their lives together.

Lace– Popular wedding trend of 2012!

Ever since the Royal Wedding, Kate Middleton’s gown has started a new trend– Lace! From lace wedding gowns to lace cakes, it is a very popular trend that is growing all over the world.

Below are some of my favorite dresses.

Here are some lace heels that would match these types of dresses perfectly.

Lace wedding cakes are becoming more popular, especially to match the brides dress. I personally think the black lace shows up the best on a cake. Here are some well designed cakes that caught my interest.
